His father and Uncle are very Senior Active persons in various Social & Cultural organisations. His Grand father Veloor Veerabadraiah Gupta was the founder General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Arya Vysya Maha Sabha in the year 1936.

About Vasavi Movement:

He has good organizational abilities, as is evident, that at a young age of 18 years in 1972 he joined in Vasavi Club, Hyderabad and played a key role in Decennial celebrations.In 1982, he became General Secretary of the club and organised Bi-Decennial Celebrations on a grand scale. Within next four years, he was elected as President in 1986 and conducted
Silver Jubilee celebrations for 3 days involving film personalities, Writers, Authors, high officials and leaders of various organizations and conducted various programmes .

He is an ardent advocate of togetherness and brother-hood. For his proven organizational skills and
administrative acumen, he is an asset to the organization. He has broadened, depend and stabilised the foundations of Vasavi movement. He played a key role in establishing the All India Association of Vasavi Clubs during 1992-93. He served as Deputy Governor (Administration) in four spells during 1993-94, 1994-95, 1996-97 and 1997-98. He introduced Administrative reforms by organizing Leadership Training to Vasavi Officers, Regional Conferences, framing of contest rules, introducing C.M.Rs and many other reforms. He served as District Cabinet Secretary in 1995-96. In this year our Association introduced Lapel Pins to identify Vasavi Club members and KCGF donors. He was unanimously elected to the coveted position of District Governor for single district during 1998-99 and extended 28 New Clubs and extensions in Rayalaseema and Karnataka state were made under his Governorship and instituted super active club awards and Zone Chairmen status introduced. He was also Chairman of KCGF Committee in the year 1999-2K. After introducing 3 star KCGF, he was the 1st 3star KCGF donor and 1st Silver Star KCGF donor of our Association.

He is a man of action with perfection. He is a personification of Leadership qualities, positive approach, active involvement and Commitment, due to which he secured a place in the hearts of all the Vasavians. He was elevated to the position of National Secretary during 2000-2001,i.e 2000-2001 rendered exemplary Services to the organization from 1st April 2000 to 31.05.2005 i.e. for 5 years and got elected to the highest position of National President for second term i.e 01-04- 05 to 31-03-07.

He is very polite and soft at heart, but hard at work. He is very disciplined administrator. He inspires others by his sincere efforts and selfless service. He always wears white dress which symbolises purity. His purity of thoughts radiate into transparent action.

His career is liberally decked with a varied fragrance of honours. His services are not only confined to Vasavi Movement, but extended to other fields. He served as Secretary, A.P. Federation of Chit Funds Association for 16 years and Secretary of All India Chit Fund Federation for 6 years and as Managing Committee Member, A.P. Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Trade for 6 years.

His social activities are unlimited, as he is also active in number of other social organisation, such as Founder President - Hyderabad Vysya Youth Association in 1976. He served as President - Rotary club of Hyderabad South & Hyderabad District Arya Vysya Maha Sabha.

He served as Governing Board member of Indian Institute of Management & Commerce for two terms.

He has also served as Vice-President - Vysya Hostel and Arya Vysya Vasavi Hostel. Secretary - Vasavi Seva Kendram & Secretary A.P Arya Vysya Maha Sabbha, Chairman - Vasavi Kalyana Mandapam. He also served and got trained in Junior Chambers international at LOM levels. He was very active in LEO club of Secunderabad in 1970’s. He was also a Governing Board member of Vivekanda Educational Society, Secretary of Saptagiri Educational Society for 10 years. Presently he is Secretary of Vasavi Girls Hostel and life time Patron Trustee of Vasavi Medical and Research Centre, a super speciality hospital. He is a patron of AP AVOPA.

He is a trustee of Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple, Hyderabad and Lal Darwaza AVS building Trust. He is a life member of ISKCON, the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Society and Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. He is associated with many Social, cultural and Annadana Sathrams and Kalyana Mandapams in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

He travelled widely across U.S.A., Hongkong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines and UAE.

An effective orator, a trusted friend, a committed Social worker and benevolent family man, he is happily married to Vasavi Lady Swarna Prabha on 27th May, 1973 and blessed with one son Mr. Rakesh Gupta, B-Com., serving as Marketing Executive got married and Three Daughters Smt. Radhika, M.Com., settled in Australia, Smt. Ritika, M.B.A., settled in U.S.A., and Smt. Runika, Interior designer. settled in U.S.A., He is also blessed with 2 Grand sons & a grand daughter.
